I offer Usui Reiki in my healing practice — the system of Reiki developed in 1922 by Mikao Usui of Japan. Reiki is a gentle, non-intrusive form of hands-on energy healing that balances the body, mind and spirit.
Both subtle and relaxing, Reiki is Universal Life Force Energy that flows naturally from the practitioner’s hands to those areas of the body most in need of balance and healing. It assists in creating a state of deep relaxation, inner harmony, increased awareness, and vitality.
During a treatment, I act as a channel for the Reiki energy to flow to my client. Animals of all ages benefit from this gentle, relaxing therapy. Not only does Reiki reduce stress, but it promotes healing and overall well-being on all levels.
Reiki for Animals
Reiki is a gentle and effective way of supporting an animal’s overall health and well-being. It is also a lovely way to support animals who have health issues and/or who are experiencing stress and tension in their lives.
It is important to only offer Reiki for as long as an animal is comfortable receiving it. The maximum treatment time is one hour. Some animals prefer to receive Reiki for a shorter period of time. Animals will let me know when their treatment is complete. Often this is when they get up or want to walk away. However, I also know that the treatment is complete when the Reiki energy stops flowing. Since each animal is unique, the length of treatment time may vary.
It may be helpful for some animals to receive one or more Energy Field Integration sessions before receiving Reiki. This helps to clear some of the deeper energetic patterns prior to offering Reiki energy.
